Region

There are intrinsic values embedded in the greater East Bay and Sacramento-San Joaquin Valley that will be the catalyst for exceptional investment opportunities.

Diversified Economy

The region’s economic pillars are deeply rooted and poised for growth. Companies on the forefront of service and innovation dominate the tenant mix. Healthcare, financial service, insurance, communications, bio-tech, and a burgeoning number of technology companies are spread throughout the region. Sacramento, the capital of the 5th largest economy in the world, is home to a myriad of State and Federal agencies. California’s central valley is an agricultural empire, generating over $12 billion in annual sales. Distribution is in its infancy as the economic structure continues to change — think Inland Empire circa 1990. Abundant land is available to accommodate commercial and residential growth. The “spill over” of users from Silicon Valley and San Francisco will accelerate as issues plaguing those areas exacerbate.

TRANSPORTATION Infrastructure

Established and diverse transportation systems provide the ability to efficiently move products and people locally and globally. Strategically located ports serve assorted cargo needs and are a convenient link to trans-Pacific trade. Union Pacific and BNSF railroads fan throughout the region and operate multiple intermodal facilities. There are two “smart choice” international airports as well as active regional airports. BART, the Amtrak Capital Corridor and ACE train offer reliable commuter rail service. Interstate 5 and Interstate 80 anchor an extensive freeway system that links the region to the balance of California, the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

DEMOGRAPHICS

The region is an urban-suburban meld that offers a high quality of life. Quaint downtowns are scattered throughout offering retail and cultural outlets to nearby bedroom communities. Outdoor recreational opportunities are abundant. Many of the nation’s leading universities are here. The population is growing at a robust rate as people from other parts of California and the United States relocate to the area. The majority of the Bay Area Labor pool lives in the region.
